Rebirth in Anime Dice is a soft reset that wipes only your Cash and gives you a permanently higher Cash and Luck multiplier in exchange. Your units, Gems, Trait Rerolls, dice and upgrades all survive it, so nothing you collected is lost.
The first rebirth costs $50K and takes both multipliers from 1× to 1.5×. The second costs $5M for 1.5× → 2×, the third costs $500M for 2× → 2.5×, and the fourth threshold is $50B.
Anime Dice rebirth costs and multipliers
Cash and Luck share a single multiplier value — they rise together, they are not two separate curves. Each step adds another 0.5× to that number.
Notice that the relative gain shrinks each time even though the flat increase is constant. That shrinking return is the main argument for not sitting on an over-funded plot waiting for a perfect moment.
| Stage | Cash required | Luck & Cash | Relative gain |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rebirth 1 | $50K | 1× → 1.5× | +50% |
| Rebirth 2 | $5M | 1.5× → 2× | +33.3% |
| Rebirth 3 | $500M | 2× → 2.5× | +25% |
| Rebirth 4 | $50B | Not published | — |
Each threshold is roughly 100× the previous one. The Rebirth panel in game displays stages up to Rebirth 4.
What you lose and what you keep
Only Cash resets. Units, Gems, Trait Rerolls, dice and upgrades are unaffected, and you reclaim income immediately from the units still standing on your plot.
There is one trap worth memorising: any Cash above the rebirth requirement is deleted when you prestige. Collect enough for the next threshold and no more, because the surplus does not carry over.
- Reset: your Cash balance, including anything above the requirement.
- Kept: every unit placed on your plot.
- Kept: unspent Gems and Trait Rerolls.
- Kept: dice you have bought and upgrades you have purchased.
- Gained: a higher permanent Cash and Luck multiplier, plus an extra unit slot.

Rebirth is the only way to get more unit slots
This is the part most guides skip. Prestiging unlocks an additional plot slot, and there is no other route to one — no Shop purchase and no upgrade node grants pad capacity.
That is separate from unit storage, the backpack limit, which you raise with Cash in the upgrade tree. When both are affordable at once, the extra plot slot from a rebirth generally does more for long-term income than one more backpack tier.
How fast a rebirth pays for itself
Two different questions get confused here: how long to rebuild the cash you lost, and how long until the new multiplier overtakes the balance you would have had by not resetting. A fast refill is not the same as a fast break-even.
Worked from a $500M balance at $1M per second of income, moving from 2× to 2.5× gives $1.25M per second afterwards. Restoring the $500M takes about 6 minutes 40 seconds, while catching the no-rebirth path takes about 33 minutes 20 seconds.
What to do immediately after resetting
A rebirth that is not followed by a rebuild is just deleting money. Put a unit on every pad first — junk counts — so offline income restarts before you optimise anything.
Then buy the cheapest luck-facing dice node the tree offers, burn any leftover Lucky Spins, Grade your new keeper if Gems remain, and only then spend Trait Rerolls. It is the same opening loop as a fresh account, just faster because the multiplier is live.
Rebirth or the next dice tier?
These are the two things competing for the same Cash, and the answer changes as you climb. Dice luck roughly doubles per tier while the price rises far faster — Storm to Shadow is an 87.5% luck increase for 7.5 times the cost.
That decay is what makes rebirth the better buy later on. The multiplier raises Cash and Luck together and never expires, whereas each new dice tier buys less luck per coin than the last one did.
Early on the reverse is true: at $50K, the first rebirth is cheap and the dice you can afford are weak, so prestige quickly. Once you are into the billions, finish the dice purchase you are close to before resetting.
What rebirth is ultimately for
The multiplier is not the goal in itself — it is what makes the upper dice tiers reachable at all. The luck ladder runs from Fire at 5× up to Chrono at 25,000,000×, and Chrono costs $15 sextillion.
No single run generates numbers at that scale. They come from stacking permanent Cash multipliers across many prestiges, so that each subsequent run earns faster than the one before it.
That reframes the button. You are not resetting progress; you are converting a finished run into a permanently faster one, and the units standing on your plot come along unchanged.
What has not been published
These values have never been released by the developer or recorded by any source we could verify. We leave them blank rather than estimating.
- Multiplier values beyond Rebirth 3 have never been published. The $50B cost of Rebirth 4 is confirmed from in-game footage, but the multiplier it grants is not.
- Sources disagree on whether dice upgrades are refunded or reset by a rebirth. Read the warning on your own Rebirth panel before confirming.
